Eddie Campbell's
own unique western singing style reflects originality virtually unlike any
other musician presently pursuing a career in the country and western music
entertainment field. His many years of traveling and
experiencing the songs that he writes about have been a real asset to his
dynamic, yet down-to-earth style. In the past forty some odd years, he has
traveled all over the United States, writing about the challenges and
lifestyles of the people he has shared time with in his travels. From (hoboing) freights, hitchhiking the thoroughfares of our great nation,
he has come to the realization that much of these diverse lifestyles have
much to offer to the contemporary country and western music listener. In much
the same way that Woody Gunthrie traveled the highways and rails of the past,
Eddie Campbell received much of his musical education. Always writing and
singing about the things that he has done, and the people he has met along the way. This simple, yet very realistic approach
is both refreshing and emotional in content. His straightforward, direct
singing style is rare when one thinks of all of the "gimmicks" used to
attract a crowd. His rare musical songwriting and singing talents are perhaps
best summed up by simply saying, "Fantastic"! |
